That's My Water!

As part of their World Studies, Year 7s were visited by Power and Water as part of their program at the beginning of term to discuss Darwin’s current water usage and future sustainability.

They then had the term to investigate issues around water consumption in the Territory, and come up with innovative ways to save water. This week, Power and Water returned and students presented their findings. Areas of exploration included evaporation, filtration systems, water leaks, desalination plants and water usage around the home. Year 7s outlined some amazing ideas for water conservation, including covers for large bodies of water to reduce water loss caused by evaporation, the use of water tanks to store rainwater, and water saving hardware including taps and shower heads.

Great work Year 7s!
